Mayong or Mayang is a village in Assam state in India is also known as Land of Black Magic. It in Morigaon district and lies on the bank of the river Brahmaputra, 40 km from the city of Guwahati. Mayong is also a tourist attraction.

There are many stories of that forest of men disappearing in the air, people converted into animals or beast, etc. Magic and sorcery is the traditions in Mayong passed over generations to continue. Narabali were also carried out with the worship of Shakti till modern period. Since The swords resemble ones used for human sacrifice other parts of India, suggesting that human sacrifice may have occurred in the Ahom area in Mayong.
