South Korean defence ministry said “North Korea fired multiple unidentified projectiles, assumed to be surface-to-ship missiles, this morning from the vicinity of Wonsan, Gangwon Province” targeting much longer distance missile.
North Korea Launches Multiple Missiles
North Korea can not test any type of missile under United Nations sanctions. But according to South Korea and Japanese officials, North Korea has tested four restrictive ballistic missiles. According to the claim, some missiles reached the coast of Japan, about 1,000 kilometers away.
The tests were performed at 7:36 minutes according to local time on Monday morning. The South Korean Army has issued a statement saying, “South Korea and America are doing a thorough review.”
South Korea will also plant US anti-missile system to shove off North Korean attack threats. This has sparked anger North Korea’s ally China.

Japan‘s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said strongly, “The latest test of ballistic missiles clearly shows the danger of North Korea being created.” According to the Japanese Ministry of Defense, the missiles fell 300 kilometers away from the northeast coast of Japan. According to Tokyo, three missiles reached Japan’s sovereignty territory. The Japanese Prime Minister also termed the test a very dangerous move.
Kim Jong Un, North Korea’s third leader has been conducting missile tests even after US and UN sanctions to create an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) which can reach United States over thousands of kilometers away..
According to the South Korean army, intercontinental ballistic missiles that hit the second continent can also tested missiles. The Korean army has also anticipated testing of missile missiles to the US. However, according to the US military, missiles do not threaten their country. Also, U.S. Army’s Strategic Command Spokesman Lt Col Martin O’Donnell has said that the US Army will “be attentive to the inflammatory steps of North Korea and focus on restoring security with the Korean Republic (South Korea) and Japanese allies.”
North Korea has done the test at a time when South Korea and the US military are engaged in joint exercises in the Korean Peninsula. Both countries termed this as a common routine protection. However, North Korea is watching the maneuvers as preparations for the attack. Maneuvers will run till the end of April.
However, the area controlled by America and Allied forces became South Korea and the occupied territory of the Soviet Union became North Korea. Since then, the Korea crisis continues. Between 1950 and 1953, there was a war between North and South Korea. Even after the war ended, the trench between the two countries remains intact.
